Chapter Sixteen

Lewis rolled over and found Nick lying beside him, breathing softly in sleep. So it really wasn’t a dream then. He was here in Hawaii with the person of his dreams, who just so happened to be a man. Lewis was starting to get over that fact more and more with every passing hour.

They went down to the beach where Lewis tried not to get an erection when Nick rubbed sun cream on his back. They lay on sunbeds for a couple of hours, Nick reading a book, Lewis drifting into and out of sleep before Nick nudged him and asked him if he wanted to go for a swim. Lewis nodded. He followed Nick down to the shore of the crystal clear ocean with his gaze lingering on the powerful muscles of his back and shoulders, his tapering waist, and his tight, peachy ass, outlined beautifully by the rather skimpy shorts he wore. Fuck, he was exquisite. Never had Lewis ogled a guy’s physique and thought so, even though of course he’d noticed Nick was built in the couple of times he had seen him almost naked.

The water was cold but a welcome reprieve from the heat of the sun. It swirled around his ankles, waves splashing him as he waded in after Nick. Nick walked out until he was waist deep and then set off swimming. Lewis followed him. Nick was a strong swimmer. Lewis was okay but slow and steady, using breaststroke. He guessed if he was ever in a capsized boat, he would be first to give up. Hopefully he’d have a hero like Nick by his side though. He smiled to himself at his thoughts. Was that what Nick was? A hero? At the moment, it sure felt like he had been the one Lewis had never realized was missing from his life.

Nick stopped some distance out, treading water, and looking down through the translucent water. He called to Lewis. “The fish are amazing.”

Lewis reached him and saw a kaleidoscope of colors beneath him. “Let’s not go too far though,” he said. “Sharks and all that.”

“Sure.” Nick put an arm around his waist and pulled him close. Lewis wrapped his legs around him, arms around his neck, and let Nick do the work, which he did, with admirable stamina. He smiled at Lewis, his teeth bright in the sun. Neither of them looked around to see if anyone was watching. They were far out to sea and Lewis wasn’t sure he cared anyway. He just wanted to kiss Nick. Nick gripped him under the ass, using his legs to keep them both afloat. Lewis felt a stirring of arousal as they kissed.

Nick’s lips were salty and warm. He found Lewis’ tongue with his own and Lewis held onto him tighter. The kiss was deep, long, and passionate. When they broke away, they were both panting for breath.

“Are we going to be inappropriate here?” Nick asked, rubbing his nose against Lewis’ and looking around for the first time.
